PlanSavvy (“PlanSavvy,” “we,” “us”) helps people in Canada review their cell, internet, and TV plans and decide whether to stay, switch, negotiate, or monitor. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain language and covers our current research-preview product.
If you type a note in the free-text preferences box, that note and your multiple-choice answers may be sent to our AI provider to interpret your preferences and write a plain-language explanation. The AI never sets your score, price, or chosen plan — all of that math is rules-based. Please don't include sensitive personal information in the free-text box.
We never ask for or store your telecom account logins, we do not connect to your provider accounts, there is no bill upload, and we do not collect payment information.
To calculate your recommendation and estimated savings; to save your checkup if you ask us to; to send alert or marketing emails only if you have opted in; and to understand how the tool is used so we can improve it.
We rely on third parties to run PlanSavvy: a database and authentication provider (Supabase), an AI provider for the free-text feature (Anthropic), and a web host (Netlify). Some of these process data on servers located in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with telecom providers. We share it only with the service providers above as needed to operate PlanSavvy, or where required by law.
We send marketing or alert emails only if you have given express consent. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
We keep your account and saved checkups until you ask us to delete them or close your account. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to withdraw consent, by emailing privacy@plansavvy.ca. These choices reflect your rights under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
We use reasonable safeguards such as access controls and encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
PlanSavvy is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 16.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above.
